Debbi has experienced much personal grief, including four miscarriages and the death

Bereavement Specialist
Debbi has a B.A. degree in Psychology from Westfield State College, Westfield,
Massachusetts, USA. She attended a Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at the Illinois
School of Professional Psychology-Chicago.
She has advanced certification in pastoral bereavement counseling after having
trained with Dr. Patrick Del Zoppo of the Archdiocese of New York. She has received a
certificate in Advanced Study, completing an intensive Bereavement Training Program in the
personal and technical skills of bereavement care giving on the issues of complicated
mourning. The program is approved by the
She also received a certificate in 60 hrs. of completion of study in the
Advanced Skills and Techniques of Bereavement Counseling with
specialization of study in Bereavement Assessments and Diagnosis,
Essentials of Clinical Empathy Recognition and Response to Complicated
Mourning, Developmental Issues within the Mourning Process, Treatment
and Response to Crisis Intervention, Pastoral and Spiritual Issues
within the Bereaved and Family Systems, completed through Saint Paul
National Center (Bereavement Ministry, Education and Research, N.Y.,
N.Y.) and The World Pastoral Care Center for Death Education in America.
In October 1998, she completed the Bereavement Specialist Skills
Training and Certification Program (by the American Hospice Foundation
and World Pastoral Care Center.
Debbi's work has appeared in over 400 publications. She was on a
Chicago radio talk show in March 1997 and has been featured numerous
times in newspapers. Debbi was interviewed by a Japanese author
for a book about grief that will be coming out in Japan in the near future.
